What Is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy was created by Dr. Pistor in France in the 1950’s, where over 15,000 physicians practice it today. It consists of the delivery of small quantities of a mixture of medications to an affected area of the body using microinjections. The practical uses in France are in sports medicine, for the rapid repair of injuries, and in cosmetic medicine, for hair growth and the elimination of cellulite, its application in the U.S. is mainly for spot cellulite reduction and the elimination of cellulite.

The principle behind its use is that a combination of different medications administered n specific area will have an effect at that site and not affect the system as a whole. We know that fat cells have on their cell membranes both alpha and beta-receptors. The alpha-receptors facilitate the deposition of fat into the cell and the beta-receptors aid in emptying the cell, resulting in weight loss.

Mesotherapy Injections

Multiple microinjections are given in the cellulite areas very rapidly, each distributing in the meso layer, right below the skin a minute quantity of medication. The injections themselves are not painful because the time size of the needle and the force and rapidity with which they are injected.

Mesotherapy Side Effects

Bruising could occur in a few injection sites, but it resolves by the next session.
Redness and mild swelling of the area treated could occur and usually resolves in 24 hours.
Allergic reactions could occur if the patient is sensitive to any medication used.

Mesotherapy Results

Mesotherapy targets problem areas (determined by the physician) and seeks to reduce the irregularity over a period. Each client is different, and results will vary depending upon a variety of factors and the number of treatments. However, you could possibly experience a significant reduction of unwanted cellulite deposits in as little as 5 weeks.

Cellulite Solution

One of the most beneficial and lasting effects of Mesotherapy is the elimination of the dimpled, irregular surface of the skin in bulging areas commonly known as “cellulite”. Mesotherapy treatments are designed to break down the fibrous structures and to melt away the fat cells that together create this “orange peel” effect, while also reducing the volume of fat deposits at that site.

Reduce Cellulite and Empty fat Cells

When used for fat reduction, Mesotherapy targets these beta-receptors and stimulates their action. Other compounds are aimed at increasing the local metabolism and circulation, working synergistically to empty the fat cells and to aid in its reabsorption into the bloodstream and elimination from the body through gastrointestinal and urinary tracts.

Causes of Cellulite

The local effects are to empty fat cells and destroy the fibrous tissue that forms the architectural support to the cells. It is this support structure of fibrous bands that when thickened causes the unappealing “cottage cheese” appearance of cellulite.

Getting rid of cellulite is quick and easy with Mesotherapy

Fight cellulite effectively with no downtime for recovery. Once Dr. Solomon performs a medical evaluation the session of Mesotherapy takes about 15 minutes and then the client may resume their activities as usual, since there is not rest and recovery needed. Each session, especially the first four, should be one week apart, in order to obtain the maximum desired effect.
From 5 to 15 sessions are usually necessary for substantial results. The number of sessions varies according to the extent of reduction desired.
