CosmoDerm & CosmoPlast

CosmoDerm & CosmoPlast fill wrinkles for a refreshed and relaxed look.

What are CosmoDerm and CosmoPlast?
CosmoDerm and CosmoPlast are the first FDA approved human collagen fillers commercially available. They are purified from human dermal cells and manufactured in the strictest controlled environment. These natural products are for the treatment of wrinkles, acne scars, other soft-tissue contour deficiencies as well as for lip enhancement. Unlike other collagen replacement products, CosmoDerm and CosmoPlast do not require a pretreatment skin test. By supplementing your skin's own collagen with CosmoDerm and/or CosmoPlast collage, we can smooth out wrinkles and most scars. We can also improve the appearance of deeper frown lines and nasal furrows. Collagen injections are a safe, effective, time-tested, non-surgical wrinkle treatment that provides immediate results.

Which areas respond best to CosmoDerm and CosmoPlast Treatments?
The ten areas most frequently treated with collagen are: frown lines between the eyes, acne scars, cheek depressions, smoker's lines around the mouth, Marionette lines at the ends of the mouth, worry lines in the forehead, Crow's feet at the eyes, deep smile lines, dimples, and facial scars.

How are CosmoDerm and CosmoPlast Treatments performed?
Treatments take place in our office. CosmoDerm and CosmoPlast treatments usually take less than twenty minutes of your time. The CosmoDerm and/or CosmoPlast collagen is injected through a tiny needle under your skin, beneath the wrinkle, into your own collagen. Several injections may be required, depending on the depth and length of the wrinkle. Because it contains a small amount of lidocaine, patients experience minimal discomfort.

How many treatments will I need?
Dermal defects are typically treated in two or three treatments over a three month period with correction for some defects lasting up to two years. Since aging is a continuing process, treatments for age-related wrinkles will be an ongoing process. Most patients come in three to four times a year for touch-ups.

Restylane

Restylane is a smart and easy way to add volume and smoothness to your skin. It is the world’s most widely used product based on hyaluronic acid for esthetic enhancement. It is long lasting, but not permanent. Restylane is safe, natural, long lasting, nonanimal, quick and easy. It restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds).

How long does it take?
The injection process takes only about 15 minutes and results area immediate. There is minimal recovery or downtime so you are able to get back to your daily life immediately after your treatment.

How long does it last?
Restylane is proven to deliver long-lasting results. Studies have shown that Restylane effects generally last for about six months. Restylane’s stabilization technology helps maintain the cosmetic effect until the injected material is nearly gone.

What makes Restylane different from other dermal fillers?
Unlike rooster-derived hyaluronic acid-based products, Restylane is free from animal proteins. This quality limits the risk of animal-based disease transmission or allergic reaction. Restylane contains trace amounts of gram-positive bacterial proteins and should not be used by patients with a history of allergies to such material.

Radiesse

What is Radiesse?
Radiesse is a safe, FDA-approved dermal filler that restores a natural, youthful look and lasts longer than the former leading filler. This convenient treatment fills and corrects smile lines, Nasolabial Folds and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. Radiesse is made of unique calcium-based microspheres suspended in a natural gel that is injected into the skin through a simple, safe and minimally invasive procedure.

Radiess Before and AfterHow does Radiesse work?
Radiesse works with your body, below the skin’s surface. Tiny calcium-based microspheres form a “scaffold” to support and stimulate the growth of your own collagen. Over time, the calcium-based microspheres gradually break down and are safely and naturally absorbed by your body. Radiesse does more than just temporarily fill-in facial folds and wrinkles – it rebuilds your skin’s foundation and restores your youthful look, without the risks associated with a permanent implant.

How soon can I expect results? How long will they last?
The results are immediate. Radiesse typically lasts a year or more, longer than the former leading filler, saving you time and money. Since results may vary, be sure to discuss your expectations with your doctor.

Is Radiesse Safe?
Yes. Hundreds of thousands of patients have experienced Radiesse and more than 4,000 physicians worldwide have been trained to provide Radiesse treatments. Through years of clinical studies and independent research, Radiesse has proven to be safe and effective. With Radiesse, you get FDA-approved, safe, clinically tested reliability.

Radiesse Before and AfterHow is a Radiesse treatment performed?
Radiesse is injected into the skin through a simple, safe, convenient procedure. Radiesse treatments have no downtime, with most patients returning to normal activities soon after treatment.

How many treatments will I need?
Many patients will achieve their desired result after just one visit. Because Radiesse is a longer-term cosmetic enhancement, and to ensure your satisfaction, we may schedule a follow-up visit, where a touch-up treatment may be recommended.

Radiesse Before and AfterAre there any side effects?
Normal, injection-related reactions, such as mild irritation, swelling, itching, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site may occur. These conditions typically resolve on their own.

Is Radiesse permanent?
No. Treatment results are long-lasting, but not permanent. The calcium-based microspheres gradually break down and are safely and naturally absorbed by your body so you will have none of the risks associated with a permanent implant
